Know The Gear

These exquisite handmade brass wearables are crafted from sheet metal — brass or copper — and sometimes incorporate wire elements. The process of shaping a form often begins with an experience or a memory of the artist. From start to finish, the entire process relies on keen observation and an intuitive response to serendipitous moments — when a particular patina feels just right, that’s the point at which the work is complete.

How to Use

CARE Brass jewellery may naturally change colour over time, but it’s easy to care for using simple household methods. To clean it, soak your pieces in warm water mixed with a non-toxic cleaner for 10–15 minutes, gently scrub with a soft brush, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Always store your jewellery in airtight containers, especially in humid environments, to slow down tarnishing. Avoid wearing these while bathing or swimming, as moisture can dull their finish. Also, keep perfumes away — apply them on areas of your body that don’t come in contact with your jewellery. With these small steps, your brass pieces can stay looking their best.

COLLABORATION These earrings have been designed and hand-soldered by sculptor, Jinal Patel. Her project, Dookdi started as an extension of Jinal's curiosity about insects. She started first by replicating various insects in epoxy simply to understand them in more detail. This later turned to soft metals. We discovered each other because our internet algorithms converged upon our common love for moths...and here we are!

THE NAMESAKE Triangle moths are distinguished by their triangular appearance when at rest. They display a characteristic triangle-shaped posture or prominent triangular markings on their wings. This tent-like configuration aids in camouflage.
