Smallholder producers, especially indigenous growers, have been invisible in the coffee industry for too long, despite growing 70% of India’s coffee. This invisibility has meant limited access to the knowledge, tools, and infrastructure needed to produce high-quality coffee.
We’re changing that, one bean at a time, by building raised drying beds and pulping stations, and running training programmes that give producers the tools and market access to showcase the exceptional coffees they grow.
Great coffee starts with precision: hand-picking fruits at peak ripeness, followed by careful pulping, fermenting, and drying. We experiment with fermentation to develop unique Microlots — slow ferments and slow drying that unlock deep, layered flavour.
I never imagined producing a Yellow Honey Microlot would make such a big difference to my household. Now, my family members can’t just sell the coffee to any trader for quick cash. They have to hold on to it. That’s made me want to experiment even more. Kempamma K., Microlot Producer, BR Hills
Our Microlots programme has already enabled producers to earn over 1.4x the local market price, showing how better processing can lead directly to better incomes.
And from 2025 onwards, all our coffee will be processed by certified Q Post-Harvest Professionals, raising the bar on quality, transparency, and producer-led excellence.
