DESCRIPTION This Pour Over set is dense, heavy, and wholesome to hold. It truly complements the kind of brew that a pour over produces too – intentional, precise, mild, and clean! 

SIZE & WEIGHT The Pour Over weighs 500g and the mug 400g. They both hold 300 ml of liquid.

COMPATIBILITY They are made such that the Hario V-60 paper filters will work but we strongly recommend that you use our handloom cloth filters. Better for the earth! Pour Over grinds range from Medium Fine, Medium to Medium Coarse. If you're using a cloth filter, your drip down time could be faster, so do try a shade finer than you usually would.

How to Use

RECIPE For a pour over, place a filter in your dripper and rinse with hot water to eliminate the taste of paper. Add 15g of medium-ground coffee. Pour 250ml of hot water (92-94°C) in slow, circular motions, starting from the centre and moving outward, allowing the coffee to bloom, and continue pouring until the desired amount of water has passed through.

CARE You can rinse, hand wash with soap, or place this set in the dishwasher. Our cloth filters are reusable (though not forever!). For best results, rinse the cloth filter with hot water a few times before brewing, and after use, rinse again and air dry. Avoid wringing or squeezing them dry, as this can affect their shape. Over time, these filters may shrink slightly, so some adjustments to grind size, brewing time, and ratio may be needed to perfect your brew. To be completely honest, we’ve been using cloth filters exclusively for the past three years, and we wouldn’t dream of going back to paper. We’re confident you’ll enjoy the same results!

COLLABORATION This is a product of collaboration with Zarava, a pottery and ceramic studio based in Mysore, Karnataka, founded by Ritu Kalra and Naveen Kumar. They specialise in handcrafted ceramic and terracotta products, blending traditional techniques with modern design to create functional and aesthetically tableware.

DESIGN This charmingly crafted ceramic set is populated with hand-painted ants. We chose to feature ants because, despite being misunderstood, they play a vital role in coffee farms, acting as ecological indicators and showcasing the health of a coffee farm.

Can I use the ceramic pour over with any coffee filter? -

While this pour over has been designed to be specifically compatible with Hario’s V-60-02 and 03 paper filters, it can be used with any standard cone-shaped filter. However, we recommend using our unbleached, reusable cotton filters for best outcomes in flavour and sustainability!

Can I brew any coffee with this pour over? -

Yes, you could brew most coffees with some adjustments to the grind size, water temperature and pouring method.

Why are there small marks or imperfections on my product? -

Most of our brewing gear is handmade, so no two pieces are exactly alike. Marks, strokes, or slight bends are natural in the crafting process and do not affect the brewing quality.
