Know The Gear

These exquisite handmade brass wearables are crafted from sheet metal — brass or copper — and sometimes incorporate wire elements. The process of shaping a form often begins with an experience or a memory of the artist. From start to finish, the entire process relies on keen observation and an intuitive response to serendipitous moments — when a particular patina feels just right, that’s the point at which the work is complete.

How to Use

CARE Brass jewellery may naturally change colour over time, but it’s easy to care for using simple household methods. To clean it, soak your pieces in warm water mixed with a non-toxic cleaner for 10–15 minutes, gently scrub with a soft brush, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Always store your jewellery in airtight containers, especially in humid environments, to slow down tarnishing. Avoid wearing these while bathing or swimming, as moisture can dull their finish. Also, keep perfumes away — apply them on areas of your body that don’t come in contact with your jewellery. With these small steps, your brass pieces can stay looking their best.

COLLABORATION This lapel pin has been designed and hand-soldered by sculptor, Jinal Patel. Her project, Dookdi started as an extension of Jinal's curiosity about insects. She started first by replicating various insects in epoxy simply to understand them in more detail. This later turned to soft metals. We discovered each other because our internet algorithms converged upon our common love for moths...and here we are!

THE NAMESAKE Noctuid moths, also known as owlet moths are amongst the largest family of moths found in the world. Entomologists suggest that there are over 30,000 species of Noctuid moths! Most Noctuid moths are described as being 'dull' or 'drab' but beauty as we know, is in the eye of the beholder!

FAQs

Have questions? We’ve got answers! Here are some of the questions people have had about Noctuid Moth – Textured Earrings. If you have more, check out our FAQs page or feel free to contact us!

What makes this enamel mug different from mugs? -

The enamel mug is handcrafted using an ancient technique that fuses powdered glass to a metal surface, resulting in a durable, glossy, and corrosion-resistant finish. It’s both functional and visually appealing, with a design inspired by coffee ecosystems.

How much coffee can the mug hold? -

The mug holds up to 350ml of coffee.

Is the mug microwave and dishwasher safe? -

No, the mug is not microwave or dishwasher safe. We recommend hand washing to maintain its glossy finish and durability.

Why are there small marks or imperfections on my product? -

Most of our brewing gear is handmade, so no two pieces are exactly alike. Marks, strokes, or slight bends are natural in the crafting process and do not affect the brewing quality.

Our coffee is in collaboration with people and nature
