COLLABORATION Kilmora

Kilmora is a social enterprise based in the Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand — close to 7,000 feet above sea level. Kilmora works with decentralised knitting groups: 13 groups, each with 35–40 women who knit from their homes.

The organisation supports rural livelihoods by ensuring fair wages, steady work, and access to markets. The products are made by skilled weavers and knitters, with materials sourced directly from small and marginal farmers.
